The aim of this session is to explore how governing boards can hold their school to account and get to know how their school is performing, by: • Distinguishing between monitoring and evaluation; • Exploring in detail a number of key sources of evidence, including: ✔ Headteacher reports and other professional advice; ✔ Governors’ first-hand experience of the school; ✔ Performance data; ✔ Views of parents, pupils and staff. |
