Engaging with Parents and the Community​ - Schools training catalogue

The Governance Handbook and Governor Competencies document expect governing boards to engage with parents to enhance pupils’ education and to develop links with the local community to support school improvement. The session will consider: Examples of good practice and processes for the school and governing board in engaging successfully with parents/carers; Developing governors’ engagement with the local and wider communities; Consider the role of the parent governor on the governing board.
