Warwickshire Early Years Quality Standards and Safeguarding Team works in partnership with Early Years and Childcare practitioners and leaders across the county and beyond.
The team consists of experienced and dedicated officers who are highly qualified and experienced in all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage and play work. Our remit includes all Early Years and Child Care settings in Warwickshire in order to improve outcomes for children. Some of our activity include:
- providing workshops and training to support settings in all areas of Early Years and Childcare
- coordinating and leading Quality Improvement work to improve standards and outcomes
- implementing a challenge and support framework
- provision of expertise and advice on all Early Years topics.
- supporting Early Years communities and building system leadership
- ensuring consistent and accurate Early Years assessment.
- supporting the early years sector to ensure that all children are safe from harm
- developing policy Guidance and Organisational Documents.
We draw on national and international evidence and research on pedagogy and policy and apply this in our local context. We work in collaboration with valued partners such as the Family Information Service, Early Help, Early Years SEND team, health colleagues, social care, and organisations such as the Warwickshire Early Years Hub and Adult and Community Learning.
