EY inclusion funding and EY inclusion grant
There are two funds to support Inclusion and SEND. From 2026/27 the Ealy Years Inclusion Fund is an amount given to EY Providers to support inclusive practice.
Warwickshire Inclusion Grant is to support individual children accessing pre-school providers.
Inclusion fund
All local authorities are required to have a SENIF for all children below compulsory school age who have special educational needs (SEN), regardless of the number of hours taken. These funds are intended to support local authorities to work with providers to recognise and support the low-level and emerging needs of individual children with SEN, and to help providers offer places for these children.
These funds also support local authorities to undertake their responsibilities to strategically commission SEN services as required under the Children and Families Act 2014 - (gov.uk).
Inclusion grant
Warwickshire Inclusion Grant from March 2024
Warwickshire Inclusion Grant is a fund to support the emerging needs of pre-school aged children. Inclusion Grant is a contribution towards costs to enhance ratios for intervention at key times. In Warwickshire Inclusion Grant SENIF is not for resources or training.
