Intimate Care and Nappy Changing Policy framework

Providing intimate care and supporting nappy changing are essential aspects of early years practice. These routines must be carried out with sensitivity, respect, and a strong understanding of safeguarding. To support providers working with children from birth to five, we’ve developed a policy framework that promotes safe, dignified, and developmentally appropriate care. This policy framework is aligned with EYFS 2025, NHS safer sleep guidance, and The Lullaby Trust recommendations.
